Burger at Drink

We were at Drink on Saturday evening (Got there at 6, so before any line). Friendly (!) bartender encouraged us to try the burger. It was fabulous. Perfect flavor, sear, seasoning. Really impressive. I loved that it wasn't trying to be pretentious at all. Just a good burger. Fries were also excellent though with a 13 dollar burger and 7 dollar fries overall a bit expensive yet dare I say worth it. Has anyone else tried it?

Yep, quite liked it. I normally don't like a double burger, but this was very good, helped by an excellent roll.

Did not care for the fries, but don't know if they are still doing the big fat steak fries, which I have never liked anywhere.

Just those two fries for the $7? Or did you set that up for the photo?

the fries were different than this picture. they were thick cut but very crispy on outside and soft on the inside. well seasoned and with a great homemade mayo to go with it. Large portion for 7 dollars. Honestly, I really felt it was worth the money.

I concur with your assessment of the burger at Drink. I would definitely pay $13 for that again. It's just a very well done burger. As far as I know though, the burger isn't always available but is a frequent 'special'.

Also enjoyed the burger at Drink recently. I will say, if you enjoy that kind of 'classic' style burger, i'd go try the one they do from 4-6 at Backbar- the beef is great (though a warning, it was quite rare when i ordered it. i'm fine with this, but it was definitely below the claimed 'med rare', for those who get skeeved out). The brioche bun, saturated in buttery goodness, was what sold me on it being a top tier classic burger.

fleming's does a "happy hour" special from 5-7, m-f, with a prime burger, full-size, for $6. includes onion rings. cannot be beat.

Plus one loving the Drink burger as well as their long, thick, crispy exterior, intensely potatoey interior fries - totally worth the $20 to me - if I just had the patience to wait for a seat there these days...I miss their cocktails and service.
