If he brings Kievsky cake next time, then he might be a keeper.

he said that he had thought about bringing the Kievsky cake but that it was too much food for three people.

just the fact that he thought about it is definitely a good thing.
meanwhile, he is assembling Ikea furniture for my daughter while i am working my way completely through the birds milk cake. won't they be surprised when they finish with the furniture and there is no more cake to be had?

so tell me, what is the Kievsky cake like?

Sounded intriguing, so I googled klevsky cake and discovered it's also known as a kiev cake. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiev_cake

My bf LOVES the bird's milk cake at Karina's. His Armenian cousin-in-law first introduced it to him. The first time I had it, I thought it was a bit too sweet but I'm used it now. Every time I'm in Glendale, I stop at Porto's to pick up some cheese rolls and potato balls and then head over to Karina's for the cake.
