Had lunch at this Potomac Village restaurant the other day. It is in one of the three shopping centers that constitute Potomac Village - the one with the Safeway and the Strosniders. It is attractive though small; you can also eat outside or in the bar area. The tuna burger was delicious. Spicy and very high quality tuna. I can't say anything about the bun because I didn't eat it. I opted for a side salad and it was very good - everything was very fresh. The table next to us had entree salads that looked fantastic. My friend ordered a turkey-and-cheddar sandwich and said it was nothing special, but then again, it was turkey-and-cheddar. There's not much opp for special there. Service was great. It took a while to get her dessert. It seems to be house-made. It was an apple dumpling-type thing; I can't think of the right word, but it was more like a rustic tart.

Last night, husband and I each had the swordfish tacos which were fantastic. They had no trouble honoring my request to omit the queso fresco (hate fish and cheese together) and to put the crema poblano on the side. The fish was great and the portions were ample. The accompanying yucca frita was great. They should make that a regular side dish. Mother had crab cakes. I don't like fried crab cakes so I didn't care for them but she likes them that way, so more power to her. I detected no filler or shredded crab. She had excellent brussel sprouts and shoestring fries were OK (I don't like shoestring fries so all I can say about these is hot and not any grease). Husband had the same apple dessert, served with ice cream. I tasted it and it was really terrific.

I had a key lime martini. Not really very good.

Total before tip: $100 and apart from the martini, I would judge it to be very good value.
