Hey SD 'hounders, the Old Globe theatre performance I'm attending gets out at 9:30, anyone know where there is a good bar/restaurant to have a drink and apps nearby afterwards? Thanks in advance!

Tough call on a Sunday night. Give Cucina Urbana a call (walking distance) to see if they will still be open.

Thanks, foodiechick. Also read a post about Blue Ribbon.... which would be better?

I prefer the smaller venue of Blue Ribbon.

Nothing wrong with CU, been many times, and will return.

Great, thanks. BR it is- (and since I'm actually in the show, useful for the future). Have enjoyed some of your other posts as well.

CU closes at 9 on Sunday.

Blue Ribbon Rustic and Uptown Tavern are both open later. Most places near by close at 9 or 10pm.

Good to know. I read that Blue Ribbon has $5 cocktails and $6 apps during their happy hour, AND the late night, if I understand correctly. Menu looks interesting.

Blue Ribbon is very good (in my opinion), call ahead for closing time. Go for it.

Funnily enough when I was writing my last response to Fake Name, Blue Ribbon called and said Open Table has it wrong. There is late night dining every night BUT Sunday. Natch. The show comes down at 9 though, so we should get there before 9:30, when they actually stop serving food. Consulting Google Maps now.

Nice folks there- I'd call them and let them know you're coming in, and promise to order quickly so the chef can go home.

            The Tractor Room might work.

Years ago, friends used to work there and we sometimes hang out w/cast at the Globe and it was always NuNu's on Fifth ave.
              Great divey old school venue..
Prado is another alternative but don't know if it stays open past 9pm on Sunday.
              Welcome to SD!

Salt and Cleaver on 5th in Hillcrest might be another option.
