I was in Toronto in 2009 and went to a French restaurant, I believe it was on Queen street. It had a second floor and a bakery, but I do not remember the name. Can anybody help me out??
It could have been Sauvignon on Queen St E?
They have a bakery attached and it would have taken you a while to reach it.
This is the website http://www.sauvignonbistro.com/
you're going to have to be more specific. - queen east or west- dishes you ate- what was nearby- close to your hotel? what hotel?
Thuet was on a second floor and had a bakery but it was on King street not Queen. Maybe?
I think Jenna is correct. It would've been Thuet on King W, or Conviction, which was Thuet's project in the same space that opened around May 2009, and closed sometime in late 2009 or early 2010, iirc.
It was definitely west. It could have been king street. I remember staying on yonge street and it taking us a bit to get there. That could have Been it. Sad it's closed. Had a really good meal.
If you liked Thuet's bread/pastries/charcuterie/pates/etc, they can be purchased to go at Petit Thuet locations around TO. There's one on King w of Yonge.
