I am late to the canning party and need help finding tomatoes this weekend. Has anyone seen bushels? Is so where?

Thank you

  1. Almost any Italian grocer. Where do you live ?
You may be late. Would you like to make wine instead?

Thank you Vinne, I am going to take a drive along St. Clair or Weston road, someone has to have them. I can still taste the last batch of wine that I made and won't go down that road again, leave it to the experts.

Yes, yes, I still have the taste of a Chateau Latour 1956 in my mind and it has been more than ten years.

And the Jordan Valley Crackling Rose circa 1967. Walking down the stairs of the dorm was not a good idea, even though this wine was a lot fresher.

Try Oakwood, Rogers Rd and Dupont as well
        Try the "phonebook" first.

    2. We bought a bushel at the Saturday farmers market at Etobicoke Civic Centre. That was two weeks ago though.

      1. It's very late but I'm going to try my regular place tomorrow. Will let you know.

BTW - Have noticed lots of places selling case of Shepard Peppers

        1. Don't know if you are still looking but I saw some at the Fruit Market in a plaza located at Burhamthorpe and Dixie. I was driving out the parking lot so don't know the price but they looked like plum tomatoes.
