Trying to find a food blog but don't know the name. Help!!

I remember that this particular food blog had a dark background and the author is female. The title of the blog escapes me but I remember it had a very beautiful "saying," i.e. "You Always Get Back......" or something close to that. Anyway, I remember I was looking for a carrot cake recipe on this blog. The color background picture of her carrot cake (single layer with cream cheese frosting) was an orange-pumpkin color and her white cat was licking the frosting from the cake. It was absolutely such an adorable picture. Does anyone know the name of this food blog?
Thanks so much. Jettaforce

  1. That might be a needle in a haystack BUT if you didn't delete your "history" inside the browser you used the first time you found that blog, it might still be listed.

    GO LOOK!

    1. Have you googled "cat licking carrot cake"? I could only find grey cats but I'm in France ATM so you may have slightly different results if you search.

I did an image search on various combinations of cat and carrot cake and cat licking carrot cake and cream cheese frosting and blog and recipe and couldn't find relevant hits except to this thread!

      2. I think I found it! I searched for "carrot cake food blog cat".

Wow, that has got to be it! How cool is that. Very beans, bear!

@Jet-How come the directions instruct 3 9 inch pans but the photo is a single layer iced carrot cake?

          Cute cat!

Thanks, HillJ. I think it means I spend way too much time online!

How could I not find that? How incredibly fantastic, though. That has to be it!

Good find - I admit, I went looking but never found it.

But horrible blog site - you can barely read the text, at least on that recipe. I see later on she bolded the text. Still not easy.

                Hi Bear!!

You found it for me!! Thank you sooooo much!! I made sure I bookmarked it, put it in my favorites, copied it on a usb and backed it up on my hard drive.

Again, THANK YOU!!!! You made my weekend!!

                Jetta xo :)

Jetta, glad to be of help. Now I have to give that awesome-looking cake a try!

Where WERE you when we spent 10 years looking for Bin Laden ?!? ;-)

                3. Oh, it's a Maida Heatter recipe. It's probably good. Wow, that font is really difficult to read.

                  1. FYI, the cat's not white. It's a poorly-marked lynx point Siamese, probably lilac lynx point but possibly caramel or fawn point, and probably an adolescent.

Never heard of cocoa powder in a carrot cake, and don't think I'd want to make that recipe. I'm in the coconut in carrot cake camp, though I wouldn't want to proclaim that 3 times fast! '-)

Somebody knows their cats. Coconut carrot cake is wonderful. I believe I made one with pineapple once as well

Well, no wonder I couldn't find it. Wrong cat. :)

Do you have a good coconut carrot cake recipe to share? I'm not sure I've ever had one with coconut in it, but I adore coconut!

I love the silver palate carrot cake, cooked mashed carrots, pineapple and coconut. IMO it is best in a bundt pan, the edges get really crispy. I have never tasted a better carrot cake. A definite must try!

This one? It does look delicious. And no vile raisins!

Yes. I have never had luck cooking it in the 2 cake pans, always seems to be gummy in the middle. I would highly recommend baking it in a bundt pan. Try it and let me know, everyone always declares it the best ever.

I have a bundt pan I hardly ever use. I'm always looking for ideas on how to use it!
