Recommendations for brunch w/ kids, in Montreal or within an hour by car

Hi - would anybody recommend some great brunch places in Montreal or around - no preference between South or North Shore. It's for a 20 people family gathering.

I'm looking for a fancy brunch, and the point is that with young children, I'd prefer a place where we can feel free to spend time outside - a table champêtre would be an excellent option ! Thanks in advance.

A great family restaurant about an hour from Montreal is Au Petit Poucet in Val David. They serve traditional Quebecois fare that is delicious.( Crepes, their own smoked ham and bacon, the best baked beans ever) As well this weekend is the big Fall Colour weekend so the surroundings are spectacular and a walk after the meal would be well suited. Do reserve in advance considering you have a big party.

I like the Petit Poucet suggestion because it will be a beautiful week-end in the laurentians and it is more kid friendly, so I'm hesitating to add this, but an alternative is Chateau Vaudreuil. I've never been myself, but often hear it recommended, especially for their brunch. Beautiful space by the water with outdoor grounds.

You can try the brunch at Chateau Vaudreuil. The food is a little on the generic side but the setting and surroundings are beautiful.
