Please help with an unusual request.

Does anyone know of an off-strip restaurant serving fairly good food that is frequented by the gay dining crowd? My younger son recently moved back in with us while going through the breakup of a domestic partnership that lasted 18 years. He's devastated and needs to start socializing again.

  1. I would suggest a Google search. Good luck.

Thanks, TF. I've done that and came up with a couple of social clubs and bars but he doesn't drink, He's the shy, sensitive type so, it won't be easy for him.

    2. I dearly wish I had something to offer. I don't know Las Vegas but I know a good parent. You are wonderful to care so much.

I'm sure he'll get his feet under him again with your support. And then both your hearts will heal. ((hugs til then)

Thanks for the kind words and hugs, Rainey. The hard part is I can do just so much; the rest is up to him and he's not ready yet.

I hear ya! Eighteen years is a long time to get over and I've sat thru my son's broken heart too. They don't give themselves to cry like girls do and I think that makes it sooo much harder for us to stand by and watch.

Sadly, you do know what it's like, too. Maybe not like girls but, they do cry and the more we try to help him, the more he refuses to be helped. I want to give him as much time as he needs to get thru it while everyone else, including his shrink, wants us to force him. Some things can't be rushed. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

Tried that and came up with nothing specific to LGBT; just a list of all the trendy places including the high end hotels.

        2. Many people that I know, and whose opinions I trust, have given the Bronze Cafe high marks.

Thanks, Friend. I'm forwarding this link to my son. I think he'd be quite interested in checking out this organization.
