Thanksgiving in Jim Thorpe

Whinerdiner Sep 25, 2013 10:27 AM

We are planning to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with family in Jim Thorpe. I'm from Philly and they are making the trip from Virginia. Any suggestions on a great place for Thanksgiving dinner? Someplace cozy and country with a fireplace would be fantastic.
Thanks in advance for your help!

No suggestions for Thanksgiving Dinner, although regardless of what anybody suggests you'll want to call the Restaurants to make SURE they're open on Thanksgiving.

However for say Black Friday morning Breakfast etc I love the Bagel that's halfway between JT and Leheighton.

Ok as other suggestions have been sparse let me offer up The Skytop Inn. Not sure how close it is to JT but it is an extremely lovely place in the general area. While the hotel is large many of the common areas are quite nice, warm and maybe even cozy and a drive through the Poconos could still be showing some color and quite nice at that time of the year. I have had guests from out of the country who have raved about this place.
