Buffalo Trace Antique Collection 2013 - where to buy?

Saw a press release that the 2013 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection has been released and is shipping at the end of the month. Anyone know anywhere to buy in NYC? I've called around to a few places and they said it's first come, first serve, but they have no idea when it's going to come in and say it goes fast. They said some stores do waiting lists, but I haven't come across any that do. Would appreciate any info.

  1. Union Square Wines may have a waiting list. I know they do for other products.

    1. saw bottles today in DC, guess what, bet most are gone (at least the few Stagg bottles hanging out). dont know if NYC is same deal.

go to your local stores, keep going til you see them

back on Wed, place at 12th & E had some, they sold last bottle of Stagg moments before I arrived, just had 2 bottles of Handy left. May still be there at $120, haven't gone back, I passed on that as I still have 2011 & 2012 Handy. They also had Stagg Jr, which is overpriced at $99. Smart move, they may have already sold to disappointed Stagg hunters, I snagged a bottle of the Jr a couple weeks ago, (just tried it & it's not bad but it pales compared to my other recent new bottle of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof).

Another place at 14th & F had but is now out, lucky enough to snag the Stagg, someone else got the Eagle Rare 17. They priced at $100, pretty good for DC.

          I also checked at 17th & L, they hadn't received any yet.

IF you are truly desperate, go to Barmy liquors, they are on L street around 19/20th street. They will charge a fortune but they almost always have some (even this past summer they had 2012 Stagg just were charging north of $250 for it). Barmy actually is great if price is no object they have a lot of stuff (like Ardbeg alligator) that I have never seen anywhere else

      1. Warehouse Wines and Spirits is taking a waiting list. At least they were when I went by 2 weeks ago.

        1. Buffalo Trace says either write to them at or call 866-729-3722.

My son stopped at the distillery with two friends a couple years ago (road trip to a conference) and were blown away by how well they were treated. Turned him into a bourbon drinker.
