Resto Recs for Convention Center/Miami Airport Area

herculesmulligan Sep 24, 2013 02:38 PM

I am coming to Miami in a couple of weeks and need help from 'Hounds on a good, foodie-type restaurant relatively near the convention center by the airport. I say relatively near because travel a short distance is not a problem. No particular type of food, just a restaurant that focuses on quality. Nice to have a full bar, but not necessary. Thanks in advance.

The good kosher places are pretty much in the Beaches, not downtown. That said, this booad has extensive discussions of kosher spots in Miami Beach, an easy drive.

There is really nothing "near" the MACC. But it is right on 836, which is a straight shot to Miami Beach, where the vast, vast, vast majority of good kosher grub is to be found. Most of those places are a 25-30 minute drive from the MACC.

With the exception of the market (HomeMade Kosher Foods) on Sunset Drive (~10 minutes), and The Oasis, a kosher deli at UM (~20 minutes) there is nothing kosher on the mainland that I know of.
