Staying in town, near cathedral, so would like to avoid driving.
Merci!

The best restaurants in the area - Les Crayeres and Assiette Champenoise -- are going to involve a drive or a cab ride. it would be a shame for you to miss them, especially Assiette. It's one of the best restaurants in the whole country.

Thanks, yes, we have been to Assiette Champenoise and loved it...thought there might be something new.

June, how much is the cab ride going to cost roughly?

It's only about a mile out of town, so I can't imagine it would be exorbitant. Maybe inquire of your hotel? They should know.

It's actually quite walkable, and while the route is not particularly scenic, it might help to work up a bit more of an appetite. Believe me, you will need it!

That's my recollection, although it was years ago.

Thanks guys, it's worth knowing it's walkable. Some of these places are a fair way from nearby towns and the taxi fare can be substantial - but this doesn't sound like one of those.
