Worth driving to around Cherry Hill Mall

Can anyone suggest places for dinner with in 5 miles of Cherry Hill Mall that are particularly good (worth driving out of my way being the standard)? Price, cusine, fine dining or dive doesn't matter, as long as it's great.

I know about Han Dynasty-Cherry Hill.

Thanks

  1. Zeppoli is less than 5 miles from the mall, and is certainly worth the drive. You will need reservations. Byob.

      So correct !!
If they have the squid ink special pasta get it with the antipasto first.

+1 for Zeppoli, I just tried it for the first time and I'm kicking myself for not going sooner. Really great. There's a Moore Bros. store close by too if you need to pick up a bottle of wine.

Oooohhh, that's a good suggestion. I forgot about Zeppoli.

BTW, any good gastropub sort of places in the area? Tired of eating at the Capital Grille bar. Been to the Seasons 52 bar too.

Pourhouse in Westmont is a good pub under the PJ Whelihans umbrella but even closer is the Blue Monkey in Merchantville. Strong tap list and good burgers.

      2. Fuji in Haddonfield has the best Japanese food around, is not too far, is not too expensive given the quality. Call 856-354-8200 if you want Omikase; not open on Mondays, tends
to be quiet and soothing. Yes, it's great. Even my non
fish eating husband was delighted with Matt's vegetarian tempura. Address is 116 Kings HIghway, but the parking
lot is reached from the back and can be tricky.

Fuji is great, I also really love Sagami (also in 5 miles) if you want truly outstanding, traditional/basic sushi (the best chirashi I've had anywhere).

        2. To add on to what Bashful was saying -

We go to Fuji (from Center City) more than to any other restaurant. On their website, they have the recent Craig LaBan quote saying that he thinks it is the best Japanese restaurant around.
We eat raw fish, but we have taken many people there who don't. The food is delicious and creative, service is excellent, and the atmosphere is serene.
          Worth the ride!
