Cafe Vingt Cinq Moving to ABQ

Bad news for Santa Fe, great news for ABQ (and Clafoutis): Cafe Vingt Cinq (aka Cafe 25), the outstanding French bakery cafe, is moving to Albuquerque, on Central right near UNM. Their last day in their bizarre outlet mall location up in SF is Sunday, 9/29.

I'll really miss their food, especially the stellar made-from-scratch baguettes, brioche, and croissants, but I'm glad they'll stay reasonably close by. And at least I'll still have the pretty-darn-good Clafoutis to keep me company up in SF.

Bonne chance, Cafe 25!

  1. Doing the happy dance here! We happened upon the cafe a while back and yes, that location really made for a tough go of it. I am glad the persevered and are heading here!

Reminds me of the move of Torino's from their strange location down here a few years back. Glad for that one, happy for this one as well.

    1. Anybody know if this happened? I don't see anything about an ABQ location on google.

Their FB page says "The search for the new location continues, we are holding out for that perfect one we know is out there!" So apparently their prospective location fell through. Fingers crossed for them...

Thanks, finlero. Will keep my eye out for it.

Nothing much. They permanently closed the Santa Fe location and never opened elsewhere. The most recent post on their Facebook page is from 2013 and says they still haven't managed to find the perfect spot in Albuquerque.
