Christmas in Vancouver

  • b
  • 4

I will be visiting Vancouver December 22 and 23 and would like to take my sister, her husband and their 2 adult sons to a great pre-Christmas lunch. They live east of the PNE quite close to Boundary Road.
Advice?

  1. My pick would be Chez Meme Baguette Bistro at MacDonald & Hastings for lunch on Monday Dec. 23, HOWEVER the couple that runs the bistro are very family orientated and I recall them closing the restaurant down during their kids break from school so they may not be opened.

About a 10 minute drive West along Hastings is Red Wagon, Tacofino Commissary and Campagnolo Roma (Hastings & Nanaimo) which all should be open for Sunday Brunch on Dec 22.

+1 on Chez Meme. It's a real shame they don't serve dinners anymore :-(

In the same 'hood is The Pear Tree, very well respected establishment:

But they're dinner service only, but just in case you change plans.

For some sweets & treats, try Chez Christophe Chocolaterie and Patisserie:

Or Glenburn Soda Fountain & Confectionery:

A bigger listing of Burnaby Heights restaurants can be found here:

Heard good things about Broken Rice and Take Sushi.

And further east on Hastings, just past Holdom, is Cotto Enoteca Pizzeria:

    2. The EBO restaurant at the Grand Villa Casino in Burnaby is getting rave reviews and will probably have something festive happening at that time.
