Ramen Jinya Original Chashu Ramen, Studio City

Went there for lunch today after a long hiatus. Something bad has happened there. The broth was the same as before, but the pork was just awful. When RJ opened, I was going there weekly, and loved the pork ramen for its thick slabs as well as its superior taste, but not any more. Now it's very thin slices and, IMO, devoid of taste. Any one else care to comment?

  1. Oh no. I haven't been back to the OG one in over a year, but had continued to hype it up to others...

    1. They removed the spicy miso ramen, so I don't think I'll be going back for anything but chicken.

      Their chicken wonton ramen is also not as good as it once was.

      1. very sad to hear. i've noticed that trend with a few ramen shops that start going downhill: they start making chashu fewer times a week (instead of every day), it tastes gross and devoid of taste as you say, and the portions get smaller. darn.
