Off for htree days in Ohio. Saw theset wo places on line. Anybody tried eitehr/both? Recommendations?
Skillet is wonderful. Cap City has a "chain" feel to it now (I guess because it is part of a chain) and I used to really enjoy it but my last meal there was very disappointing.
I enjoy Cap City; I often visit there when I'm in town. Big sandwiches, terrific veggie plate, and (if it's your thing) the best liver & onions I've ever had.
People love Skillet. I like skillet a good deal. The food is fresh and tasty, the pancakes, when they have them, divine. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a meal there.
I haven't made it to Cap City, so I can't comment.
That would be on the Great Lakes board:http://chowhound.chow.com/boards/72
Thanks. Never thought of it being there.......
