update for Healdsburg? 4 nights

mousse Sep 20, 2013 01:39 PM

Just thought I'd ask for an update on restaurants. We have 4 nights and I think we've decided on 3 so far. Dry Creek Kitchen (have friends working there), Scopa (love it!) and Barndiva (have never been). A friend suggested Diavola in Geyserville. What do you think?

An early summer's lunch at Bravas was the highlight of a 7-day, 14-meal trip. Bravas and Hole In The Wall/Sebastopol were head and shoulders above everyone else we tried.

Don't forget to report back! Have a great time.

We are heading to Healdsburg tomorrow... will report back. Have dinner reservations for Barndiva, Mateo's Cocina Latina, Chalkboard, and Scopa. Plus doing food/wine tastings at Arista and Chalkhill.

If you like well prepared rustic Italian food, Diavola is an excellent choice. Just don't expect chicken parm :).

If you like the food at Scopa you will love Diavola. Very different atmosphere, Scopa has the frenetic energy being off the Healdsburg plaza while Diavola is much more laid pack but also gets packed.

i loved Barndiva for lunch, never been for dinner....

We will be in Healdsburg in October for 2 nights, and have a res. at Chalkboard, which we're excited about, but have never been.
