Sardine Banh Mi at Les Baguettes, Eden Center

When I was in LA recently, I spotted sardine banh mi but didn't get one. Much to my surprise I now see that Les Baguettes in Eden Center has both sardine and tuna banh mi.

The sardine version is excellent. It's a slender, tasty sandwich. If you want hot peppers, you'll have to ask. The bread here light and crispy and makes forr a better sandwich than a crustier version. This made for easy eatin'.
Highly recommended.

  1. Banh Mi DC has them as well. If you like canned sardines in tomato sauce, then you'll like the sandwich.

I guess I like sardines! I never noticed it at Banh Mi DC, but it's been a few years since I've been there.

Are the sardines at Les Baguettes in tomato sauce?

    2. You had me at sardine.

That sounds delicious - thanks for the rec.

      1. Tried this sandwich today, and it was delicious! I will crave it again. No tuna on the menu today, btw. Husband had the sour ham - meh, I mostly tasted vegetables (which wasn't a bad thing, of course).

Good bread, but not really a baguette, imo. It actually reminded us both of a smaller version of Leidenheimer bread from New Orleans. It'd make a darn good po'boy bread.

Glad you liked it; no, it's not really a baguette, but it's based on French bread.....
