Henry Tang sues over fake wine allegations
Interesting article, plaidbowtie, thanks for posting the link.
Cornwell has been playing with fire, a far safer pastime when the 'target' is someone shifty like Rudy K, as opposed to a former Chief Executive of Hong Kong. Unlike Rudy, Tang doesn't appear to have anything to hide so he's prepared to defend his position.
I think generally, Cornwell has done a lot of good by highlighting the problems with wine-counterfeiting, but if the article is correct, he may have bitten off way more than he could chew on this occasion.
re: Julian Teoh
I agree completely. I haven't met Tang personally, but I know many people who have, and by all accounts he is an upstanding, generous, good guy. Also, biting off more than you can chew isn't as bad as refusing to admit it when you're called out by people like Aubert de Villaine.
