Need a high altitude chocolate cake recipe that uses cocoa

just moved to Boulder, CO and can't seem to find a recipe that I like. My son's birthday is Friday and he wants a chocolate cake with lemon buttercream. I got a great baking book called "Pie in the Sky" but the recipe uses unsweetened chocolate. For reasons I don't want to get into right now I want a cocoa cake recipe versus one that uses unsweetened chocolate or any solid chocolate. Any ideas? Thanks!

  1. You could try the Hershey's website. I seem to remember that they give you high altitude adjustments to their recipes. If you have a recipe you already like those adjustments might help you to covert baking times for your recipe.

My other suggestion would be to call or live chat with the King Arthur flour people. They're a great source of information for this type of thing.
