I'm looking for suggestions for an easy, fun, buzzy room where I can go with my brother and his two kids (8, 10) in Amsterdam. Tasty noodle spots, pizza, that sort of stuff, but ideally not touristy.
Any interesting suggestions?
We just had two wonderful meals in Amsterdam last week. One was called Daalder and the other Belhamel. Not fancy, but not pizza either. Very casual. Belhamel was open Sunday-you must reserve!
If it's nice, you can sit outside at Nel on a lovely square on Amstelveld, at the corner of 2 canals. It's just a sandwich place, really, but good for local-watching.
