Squash Blossoms

JoyM Sep 15, 2013 04:19 PM

Anyone know of a market in San Francisco that consistently has squash blossoms at less than exorbitant prices? (exorbitant = $10 for a quart container at Rainbow Grocery). They have them sometimes at Allemany Farmer's Mkt and Civic Center Farmer's Market, but I'm looking for a consistent source.

Since squash blossoms are a summer season item only, it may be an impossible task to find a consistent supply, if you're trying to find them year-round.

Yerena Farms at the Ferry Building Farmer's market and others often has squash blossoms for much less than rainbow (I don't remember the exact price, but I was shocked when I compared the difference). Chue's Farm, also at the Ferry Building, sometimes has them.
