I love my ladle
I do. Probably more than I should. I got it as a gift after coveting it for years. It is made out of cherry and has an off-set handle. When I use it with my Le Crueset dutch oven I feel like I cook better, and could host my own cooking show. I base this on absolutely nothing other than my beautiful equipment...anyone else out there a nerd like me?
Haha! Sounds wonderful! For me, my new obsession is my spider. Once I bought it and started using it, I couldn't believe I never had one before and I can't imagine my kitchen without it!
It's a shallow round perforated ladle meant for straining solids out of liquids in pots. It often has a bamboo handle and the bowl is wire mesh. They are sold in Asian markets and elsewhere. It's called a spider because it has wire spokes radiating from the center so it looks a bit like a spider in its web.
