More Affordable Source of Organic Sweet Potatoes?

rlh Sep 15, 2013 11:16 AM

We need a reliable (ideally ongoing) source of organic sweet potatoes inside 495 if possible for less than the $2.49 per lb going rate at Whole Foods - any recommendations?

have you checked hannaford's? they often feature local organic produce and are less expensive than whole paycheck.

Trader Joe's has them, almost always, in a three pound bag for a little under $4 a bag.

They also sell them singly, and they tend to be bigger than the ones in the bag. I think 49 cents each for orgo.

Market Basket sometimes has bagged organic sweet potatoes . Costco and BJ's do not have organic potatoes though they do have organic carrots. $2.49 is rather high for sweet potatoes, Whole occasionaly has then on sale in the fall.
