Brattleboro farmers' markets - what's in season?

We are coming to Brattleboro for a week in October. So excited! We have a rental cottage and for us, staying anywhere self catering means shopping at farmers' markets; I gather there's a good one in Brattleboro. What will be in season mid October and what shouldn't we miss?
Also, we will be arriving late afternoon on a Monday and will need to pick up some basic supplies before checking into our accomodation. Where is good in the centre of town to get milk, cereal etc? Thanks!

You will be able to get squash, apples, baked goods, eggs, locally grown meats. Root vegetables. My favorite time of year!

Here's a link to the market's website. The vendor list says 2012. You might check some of the vendor websites or facebook listings. It's over an hour from us but I thought it was worth the trip.

I also like the Humble Food Truck which has wonderful bahn mi sandwiches. See their facebook listing for location.
