Dollar oysters in Berkeley

Now that Sea Salt is gone, is there anywhere with a worthwhile oyster happy hour in Berkeley? And if not, what's the best option in Oakland?

Some Yelping turns up Cafe Rouge, with $1.25 oysters. Anywhere else worth a look?

Also Tuesdays all day now. Yesterday they had very good Marin Miyagis, although they ran out after our second dozen (before 9p). Unfort I had forgotten how loud it is, even when it's not jammed.

Blasting music or just a loud crowd?

Just a loud place acoustics-wise, music was normal volume. You really have to speak forcefully to be heard over the din.

In the first years Luka's was open I didn't find that to be the case, even when it was full.

Saw a sign outside Lalime's today. $1 oysters, plus something about an oyster po' boy and a lobster roll. I believe Sunday only. Might be worth a try. I do miss Sea Salt.
