Release Notes for 9/12/13 - Part 2 - Profile Changes, Search Changes, and Other Bug Fixes

Several changes went out in today's release, and I'm breaking up the release notes into two discussions. Another discussion deals with changes to Product Reviews and the Cookware Board, and you can find that here:

This discussion deals with other changes that are being released today.

1) All profile pages now have the same sort functionality as board pages. This change affects three pages in your profile: Discussions (the main profile page), Reading List, and Saved Discussions. As of today, you should be able to sort these pages in any of three ways: Date Started, Replies, and Last Reply. The sort-order you choose here will carry across the site (to Board pages) and vice versa.

The reason we are making this change is that it's an initial step in improving profile functionality, and setting the stage to allow users to Follow and Unfollow discussions. We are beginning work on the ideas laid out here:

2) Product Reviews are now searchable, and show up as a filter in Search.

3) If you're a logged-in user on mobile, and you do a search from a discussion or board, your search will default to searching within that board. This was requested here:

4) Using your arrow keys within discussion pages should work now, which was a bug that was reported here:

If you're still seeing any problems related to these changes, or if you have any questions, feel free to post them here. Thanks very much!
