Chinese Indian joints in NJ

joonjoon Sep 11, 2013 06:38 AM

So last night I went to Chopstick, (http://www.chopstickonline.com/) a Chinese-Indian restaurant in North Brunswick. There's a bunch more joints serving up Indo-Chinese food in central Jersey also.

I really enjoyed it! It's pretty much exactly what it sounds like - Chinese food done with an Indian spice profile. If you like Indian and Chinese food...you ought to check 'em out!

There's one in Parlin, as well.

Well, not the one I was thinking of, apparently this place is brand new, open on 9/7:

The lunch specials look really good.. I mean, lamb for $8.00 including soup, soda, and rice? I will definitely be checking this place out.

LOL, Thanks Joonjoon, I never would've thought to look it up if it wasn't for you. :)

I just tried Bordolois for the first time.

The lunch specials, of which there were many, are $7.99. Each comes with soup, soda, and a generous bowl of rice (white or brown). The portions of the ordered dish were generous for a lunch special. I ordered the Ginger Lamb and there was a lot of lamb in that bowl. There was more lamb than vegetables. There was plenty to take home for a second meal. That is all on the positive side. On the negative I just could not be too enthusiastic about the flavors. Sauces were oily and salty. They just did not have delicate flavors.
