Has anyone come across a store selling Rancho Gordo heirloom dried beans? I can order online, but was hoping to find them locally.

I have ordered from Rancho Gordo and it has been quite easy. As others have said, it is hard to find much of equivalent quality in stores.

Thanks. Just moved here from San Francisco. Used to get them at the Farmer's Market in town.

Green aisle grocery has beans from them, but only a limited selection.
You can get equally good dried beans, though also not as varied a selection, from Cayuga Organics at the Fair Food Stand at the RTM. (though Cayuga had a fire at their farm so I'm not sure of the status of the new crop that should be coming on the market in the next couple months)
Anyways, those and some pricey Italian ones from Claudio and DiBruno Bros. are the full extent of reliably high-quality, new-crop beans that I've been able to find in Philly.

Thank you. You're right, kind of limited.

almost forgot the Turkish beans - chickpeas, black eyed peas, small white beans, lentils - at Queen Village Market (4th/Bainbridge) have been reliably good. Check sell by dates though, I've put back the same old bag of chickpeas a few times now. Cheapish too ($5/kilo).
