Cronuts - probably the hottest new food item to hit the world this year, thanks to Dominique Ansel.
Singapore's Da Paolo Gastronomia (http://www.dapaolo.com.sg/) introduced its own version - the Crodo a month after the Cronut craze began.
I tried two types of Crodos today: the original, and a wonderful salted caramel one at Da Paolo Gastronomia's outlet in I12 Katong. One bite, and I'm hooked :-D

No lines at all, Charles. But then again, it probably doesn't taste anything like the "real deal" at Dominique Ansel Bakery in NYC.
The ridiculous queues are still there at the first Tim Ho Wan in Singapore (Plaza Singapura, Dhoby Ghaut), though. I'd not checked out their second branch, Tim Ho Wan @ ERA Centre, Toa Payoh, 4 days ago.
Their 3rd branch will open in the eastern HDB estate of Bedok in Dec. Seems like Singaporeans can't get enough of Tim Ho Wan at the moment. The chain plans to have a dozen outlets in Singapore eventually!
