Sonoma, CA

Staying near Sonoma for 2 nights. Have booked one night at Sante, but there seem to be a few good options for the other. Cafe La Haye? El Dorado Kitchen? Girl and the Fig? What do you think?

Love La Salette. Also had a great lunch at EDK. Breakfast at Fremont Diner or Boon Fly Cafe (Napa but a pretty quick drive). El Molino Central for Mexican.

    2. Going to have to veto La Salette as we just got back from Spain/Portugal. What do you think of the others?

The Girl & The Fig is fantastic and charming - works well for both brunch and dinner!

      2. I also like La Salette, but if you aren't wanting Azores themed food, I would go with LaHaye, personally.

Or if you want a great contrast to linen, go casual at El Molino. Amazing food with picnic tables in the parking lot where you can watch the night life in the springs and eat homemade tortillas from corn slaked and ground daily on-site.

We loved everything about El Molino.

        2. Cafe La Haye gets my vote also. Had a lovely meal and good service there for our anniversary last January.

          1. Just a bit up the road, Glen Ellen Star is also a great option.

We liked Glen Ellen Star - their crispy calamari had the most amazing combination of pink ginger and fresh pineapple salsa - but overall I think La Haye is a half-level above.
