Need vegetarian options (at least) around Newton, Dedham, Wellesley

The name Walnut Grill has come up on this board, sounds good, but no reviews or mentions in a while. Anyone like it?

Please suggest other places with nice atmosphere for a special dinner for 4 friends. Two of us are vegetarian but not vegan. Hearty delicious food, with parking nearby, in these towns or quite close to Route 128?

Many thanks!!!

I am not a fan of the Walnut Grill. We have been there twice and did not find any of the dishes memorable. On the other hand, my 30 something children like it better. If you like the Red Lentil, you will probably like the Walnut Grill.

How about Sycamore in Newton Centre? They currently have a summer board for two that is vegetarian and also a vegetarian entree. Great drinks program as well. Easy parking at the public lot nearby. Could be a very nice option. Just be aware that their menu changes seasonally, so I would look at the menu before going.

We just had the summer board @ Sycamore and it was DIVINE. Loved it and very reasonably priced. Make sure to get the beignets for dessert. Enjoy!

          +1 for the beignets!

Cafe Mangal in Wellesley has some good vegetarian options. I wrote about it on my blog, if you're curious to see some photos: http://thegirlwhoateboston.com/2013/0...

It is worth noting that my post only covers lunch, which is quite relaxed and informal, but dinner is a more fancy, white-tablecloth experience. The food was just as great, though!
