Catering--Harleysville Area

phillymmh Sep 5, 2013 02:34 PM

I'm on the hunt for a great caterer (not a chain restaurant that offers catering). Someone who would come out to the Harleysville/Skippack area. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How many people are you looking for? What is the event? What type of food? What is your price range? Are you expecting them to deliver food or to also serve the food?

Two separate events. Both are in December.

      1. Breakfast for about 12 people. Deliver and setup food only.

      2. Buffet Style Dinner for about 24 people. Deliver and set up food only.

I am open to the food style and I have a (relatively) open budget.

Hennings does pretty good breakfast catering, but I don't think they will deliver/setup. I get their breakfast items for work, but it's right on my way. Check with Pumpernick's in North Wales (right near the mall); we use them at work also and their full breakfast delivery is consistently good.

Mina at Taste Of Italy in Springhouse does catering. Her cooking is great and she uses very good and fresh ingredients.

Also, years ago (15) I went to an event catered by Abacus the Chinese restaurant in Lansdale. The food was very good.

My neighbor has a catering business that she operates out of her home in Harleysville. Her name is Lisa Bohar and her business is called Visional Events. All of her food is wonderful. I especially love her Chicken Salad with Grapes and Pecans. She has done wedding showers, Summer picnics, birthday parties, office breakfasts and will work within your budget. You can reach her at lbohar@comcast.net or 484-994-5784. Please let her know her friend Sandy aka Curly Girl recommended that you contact her.
