Santiago & Valparaiso

I'll be in Santiago for 4 nights later this month and will be taking a day trip to Valpo from there. I've searched this board and found restaurant recs that are several years old, including . . .

In Valpo:
Pasta y Vino
Rincon del Mar (upstairs in farmers market)
Rest Tanino at Casa del Bosque
Altzaga
La Concepcion
Chiringuito

In Santiago:
Aqui Esta Coco
Le Bistrot
La Mar
Liguria
Ana Maria
Puerto Fuy

My questions are:

1. Where would you go if you had just one lunch in Valpo?
2. Are there any places that are newer and deserve to be recommended?

All types of food and price points welcome.
We'll be staying at the Hotel Orly.

Thank you.

Sorry you didn't get any replies - I'm off to Santiago in the new year, have you any recommendations after your recent trip?

I'd also like to know - we're headed to Valpo in December.

In Santiago, you should go to:

          Liguria
Donde La Tina (very good traditional food!)
Golfo di Napoli (Italian, but in a Chilean picà style)
          El Galindo

Sorry for the very late reply!!!!
