Best rooftop restaurants or bars

What are your favorites? Where should we go for a girl night out with a couple friends in October?

    1. There are a lot of rooftop bars that have heaters. There are 3 very close together in the Uptown area. All have there good and bad points. Do you want to be seen or have a less eventful outing.

probably a more laid back night with good food and good drinks

      2. Crave downtown, is quite the scene. Solera seemed a little more subdued.

        1. I think focusing on scene or focusing on the food will take you in different directions. I can't think of anyplace that really accomplishes both. The sushi at Seven is better than crave, the food at union is a little better than crave. Solera has better food than all 3, but is pretty light on ambience. Seven is the loungiest which I like better than feeling like I am at a bar. Crave pretty much sucks on both fronts, as does cafeteria and stella's. I don't mind the food at Moto-i, I even like some of it, but it pretty much is devoid of any style and sometimes service. Never been to the roof at amore victoria, but the food isn't very good inside. Although not a rooftop but more in the posh patio category, the marin space is nice but haven't heard anything good about anything else there yet.

i agree with you! it's so common that you have to pick either the scenery or the food when it comes to rooftop dining. Maybe I would want a nice dinner then head to those places that you mentioned for drinks afterwards for the night skyline. Which place has the best view?

          2. The rooftop bar at Louis (Cossetta's) in St. Paul has the best view in St. Paul imo. However the food is average.
