Green Olive Tapenade

SilverMoth Sep 2, 2013 11:29 AM

I bought a jar of Trader Joe's Green olive tapenade, and I'm not sure what to do with it. I've been eating it with bread, but what are some other ways that I can prepare it?

After reading everyone's suggestions, I sautedd it with onion, mushroom and kale. Then added the mixture to spaghetti sauce and it was delicious.

I add a glob to soup when eating, or mix it into plain hummus, add to sandwiches, mix into scrambled eggs.

        Slather on poached fish.

Lightly grill some chicken breast, then spread it on top. Plus, a tiny bit of flaked parmesan cheese.. pour some nice Viognier wine to go with it.

Its great on muffaletta sandwiches, or tossed in a salad

I would love it tossed with some pasta and cauliflower.
I imagine it could be good on a grilled cheese sandwich.

I make an hors d'oeuvre that starts with toasted bread, then a layer of goat cheese, topped by tapenade (I make mine with oil-cured black olives) and then finished with strips of zucchini that have been browned in olive oil. Messy but good.

Tapenade is also good tossed with spaghetti, browned cubed prosciutto and romano.

I'll try it with goat cheese. Thanks.
