Where to find Water Caltrop in San Francisco area?

In my hometown we cook it with meat to create wonderful meat soup.
Also sometimes just put some dried ginger in water with it and reboiling them about half hour. Then just eat water caltrop. The nature flavor is all out.

A little question:Ilive in San Francisco now. Does anyone know where to buy water caltrop?

I often see it in Chinatown, though there seems to be some seasonality to its supply.

99 Ranch usually has it, or check May Wah on Clement.

Not sure about currently, but I've spotted them at the Berkeley Bowl.

Yes, the first time I ever saw one was at Berkeley Bowl. Berkeley Bowl is easily accessible by BART: just a five-minute walk from the Ashby Station.

I don't know where to find them but this from Chow may help.
