Laguiole knives in London

ManInTransit Aug 29, 2013 04:31 AM

Trying to pick some of these up in the next couple of days and stores seem to be sold out or have a tiny selection. Anyone come across anywhere in central/N London or the City that sells then?

I know this may sound crazy, but have a look around TK Maxx or their Home Sense subsidiary. It's a gamble but they frequently have Laguiole knives in and you'll get a bargain to boot.

Laguiole isn't a brand, its a design associated with a town in France.

Conran definitely sells them, but they sell the mega good quality ones are probably mega inflated prices, and John Lewis sells cheap ones.

Indeed from the town where Michel Bras' restaurant is as well. Some of the style are crazy expensive and I noticed during research there is a whole set devoted to preparing and eating fois gras.

Just looking for nice-looking entry level ones as a present - looks like a trip to John Lewis in the offing thanks.
