One dinner rec

Hi Portland hounds, I'm going to be in Portland for one night (wednesday) on my way out to the willamette valley. I'm looking for a dinner spot in portland that is fun, lively, good crowd and above all great food. Preferred cuisine would be new American,Italian, French bistro but open. I am staying at the Ace so walkable would be ideal but short cab is fine too. Maybe somewhere where I could eat at the bar since its probably too short notice for a reservation. Thanks in advance!

Little Bird is a good choice, but if you are willing to do that cab ride, I love eating at the bar at both Ava Gene's and Nostrana in SE.

Little Bird. French bistro, high quality, good booze, good vibe, six blocks from the Ace.
