Food Truck Wars

Third season? The 2nd episode aired last night. So far not much douchebaggery but the season is still young.

This is the 4th season, right? Just clarifying, as this is the first season that I have watched from the beginning. I'm kind of in the same boat as John E and some others, as I don't have a favorite team. I hadn't quite thought of it that way, and I don't have a least favorite team, either. I'm actually looking at them as "which one of these people would I like to see as being featured on another show". Probably too much watching all of the personality competition shows, lol. Using that as a guide, though, so far, even though they mentioned that The Slide Show guy had a chance on the Food Network's Next Star show, I can see the Hawaiian brothers doing something else. Maybe the Frankfoota ladies as food reporters, too. Any thoughts?

There's something about the hotdog women that bothers me. They sell prepackaged hotdogs? Can any of them cook anything?

As I indicted on another post, what bugged me about them were there tight pants, not that they were tight, but that they violated U.S. Flag Code in that they were made to look like the flag. I believe that is dishonoring the flag, rather than honoring it. Not to mention that anyone who wears that sort of clothing is only doing it to attract attention rather than for patriotic reasons. Oh, and their hotdogs apparently sucked as bad as their potato on a hotdog bun did.

I loved the Korean sausage guys and the Italian girls from last season.

(In fact they filmed part of the final episode in Boston DIRECTLY under my office window, but it had to have been on a weekend :-(. Otherwise you would have seen me slyly getting into every camera shot)

And I eat at the grilled cheese guys cart (season one) every so often.

No one this year seems to have any personality or edge about them.

And a few if them seem sort of dumb. Bad drivers too

I wanted to like the Philly guys. But they're doing cheesesteaks (but using a different name)? Eh, not even Philly's favorite sandwich.

I watched the first two episodes of this show and havey a slight problem...I have not identified a team I wish to win, and I have not really identified a team I wish to dislike. I've watched previous seasons and have always seemed to come up with a reason to watch, so far, they all seem a little boring.

The hot dog girls are clueless and I think they deserve to go next. Otherwise, I'm in the same shoes.

Yeah, I was thinking that even after I wrote that post. The potato truck with the gas valve deserved to go too.

I'm not a fan of clothing made to look like the U.S. flag. It's actually against flat ettiquette.

The Irish potato truck was the first to go.

I hadn't thought of it that way, but you're right. Although I do think some hotdogs are great food.

it's not enough to go to a store, buy hot dogs and buns, and hope to compete against chefs.

I agree, but a good hotdog is about more than the dog and the bun.

I'm still waiting for the second episode to drop on either food networks site or torrent but I have seen the first one and no teams concept or food has grabbed me. I liked a few of the other seasons trucks like Soul Sausage. Still early on though.
