Soto's portions are becoming smaller?
Soto's uni appetizers and lobster sashimi with caviar used to be really generous in portions, but I notice that whenever I revisit the place recently, not only the portions are becoming smaller, but also their uni is becoming smaller in size too.
Thanks for the Soto update. I have found his quality has gone down, since he became more popular. Many dishes are prepared in advance. I don't go there anymore.
An underrated place is Blue Ribbon. Their chefs are quite skilled. Their creations are fantastic. The fish is of high quality and the price is right.
they have this random roll that i like at blue ribbon izakaya even though i generally dont like rolls and prefer real sushi. try their fried oyster roll, its really delicious...i go there just to get one and a few beers with one of my friends all the time (its like a 5 min walk from where i live)
