Why doesn't the Akushi Cheeseburger at ABC Kitchen get more love?
This is utterly an amazing creation.
Everything about it was spectacular, from the nice crusty bun, to the mayo, to the tart pickled jalapenos, to the marbled beef that was cooked perfectly medium rare.
No cheese for me, which I felt really let that mayo shine through.
I thought it was good, but with so many excellent burgers in NYC it kinda becomes easy to forget about it.
Could be the tasteless meat, and lack of freshness on the bun.
In other words, different experiences, and no consistency.
I also wouldn't wish ABC Kitchen on my worst enemy until they stop trying to pretend they're Webster Hall for the Bridal Shower crowd.
