Sopapilla Compuesta 3.15
A special dough made with milk and honey rolled flat and deep fried, Spread with frijoles, cheese, onion, lettuce and tomato.

I can't find anything like this East Lansing and Lansing, MI restaurant's dish in Los Angeles. I've asked around and I've been told this type of yummy dough recipe is from one state in Mexico.

Has anyone heard of it??

It blows any regular sopa out of the water

  1. I've never seen sopapillas anywhere in Mexico. But I do strongly associate it with NEW Mexico [in the US].

    1. I agree, the only place to get decent sopapillas is in NM. Try Abuelita's in Bernalillo.

      1. Sort of like Indian fry bread?

Did you try Arturo's puffy tacos?
