Late reservation at Spinasse - need direction!

  • 3

Hello Seattle,

We are coming to your city on Saturday and have late reservations at Spinasse (10 PM). I need some recommendations on solid cocktail/wine bars we can go to beforehand either in Capital Hill or Belltown (where we are staying).

We will probably hit up Artusi, but anything else would be appreciated.

Also: thinking of hitting Ma'ono fried chicken and whiskey for Sunday brunch before heading home. Worth it?

Thank you!

  1. For cocktails, very near Spinasse are both Canon and Tavern Law. Both excellent for cockails, and Canon arguably one of the best in U.S. Knee-High Stocking Co is also near and quite good, if tiny, and employing the speakeasy gimmick, which may or may not work for you. So, if having dinner at Spinasse, skip Artusi for variety's sake.

I have not been to Ma'ono since it was known as Spring Hill, but the chicken then was outstanding.

There is a brand new spot just up the hill called Le Zinc, but I don't know anyone who has tried it yet. Yelp-sters mostly like it. Then just across the street is Bar Cotto, an Ethan Stowell enterprise.

    2. Thanks for your help guys. We ended up at Tavern Law and the drinks were fantastic.
