Where to buy fresh eggs in Ballard?

Looking to get eggs from happy hens - either from a backyard hen house with overflow looking to make a few bucks, or a nearby farm who stocks a neighborhood store I can swing by. Ideas?

(I'm sure eggs can be found on the Sunday Ballard Farmer's market, but I don't want to rely on an "event" and I'm often out of town on Sundays - or just not in the mood for such a crowd!)

Thanks!

Not quite ballard, but there's a backyard self-serve on 80th between aurora and linden (almost to linden).

Um, what do you mean by self-serve? Lift up the hen and snatch!? :)

No, they're just in a cooler on the steps, there's a mailbox to drop the money into.

Sounds awesome, but you are right, too far for it to work out regularly. I'm a public transportation girl right now!
