Dinner with parents- not too loud

Going for birthday/anniversary dinner. Looking for great food but it can't be too loud as my Father has hearing issues. Hoping to find something not too pricey - ie 20$-$28 for mains. No asian, continental or French bistro maybe?
Any ideas?

  1. What area are you looking for? Toronto downtown core? Brampton? Peterborough? :)

Downtown Toronto, or west to Oakville

        Le Select

    2. Woodlot is nice for a special occasion.

I am not sure I would consider Woodlot quiet. If I recall it can get quite lively.

      2. If you stay away from the Filet, Scaramouche Pasta Bar is within your price range.

        1. Globe Bistro on the Danforth at Broadview has an early bird (4 - 6) - Steak and fries is the most expensive item (up until 6pm) - $20 and it's delicious, the pre 6pm menu also features a rib eye burger, and fish and chips, CHECK with them if this is available in the downstairs bar area, and if they will turn off the TV, or at least its sound, because it's noisy enough there.
The rooftop patio is perfect - very quiet and peaceful -, but your dad probably wouldn't feel like trekking up three flights.

          1. Snug Harbour in the Port Credit marina is lovely this time of year with beautiful views of the water. This is a mainly a seafood restaurant but also has other options. Lardon on Roncevalles is a wonderful French restaurant that is perfect to take your parents, one of my faves. both should suit your budget ok. :)

            1. I've had good luck at Enoteca Sociale, especially on the patio.

              1. Carisma? Epic?

We have had 3 excellent meals at Carisma. Lovely fresh, pasta, fish, excellent service, quiet.
