Drinks/dessert around Union,Springfield,Millburn?

riverman18 Aug 21, 2013 04:26 PM

Hey all, looking for a comfortable spot to catch up with an old friend. Casual, reasonably priced, and not screamingly loud - we have lots to talk about. Something with a funkier vibe than an Applebee's as long as I'm askin'. Whatcha got? Thanks in advance.

Martini Bistro in Millburn (restaurant side--bar gets loud)?

Basilico is not exactly a reasonably priced comfy spot, but an mid-upper range Italian BYO restaurant. Martini Bistro is Cougar City, BTW.....

I think Basilico is expensive for what it is, and I'm pretty sure jmoryl is right about it being BYO.

Head smack. The Red Cadillac in Union may be what you're looking for...

Sorry for the delayed response. During he day, blackthorne in kenilworth as a great deck to sit and talk. Red Cadillac is fun, their house infused tequila is KILLER!
The boathouse in south mountain reservation, is very cool and has outdoor seating/service. If its after 4pm I hear the boxcar at the short hills train station is also a great spot
