Sunday Brunch in San Fernando Valley for Anniversary

  • 8

We are celebrating an anniversary and was looking for a good brunch restaurant in the San Fernando Valley (or surrounding areas). Maybe a good buffet? Any ideas are appreciated.

  1. Probably the best AYCE buffet is at the Universal City Hilton at the Cafe Sierra for either the dinner buffet http://www.cafesierrahilton.com/index... or their Sunday champagne brunch http://www.cafesierrahilton.com/index...

    1. If you are up for a drive beautiful & rustic Saddle Peak Lodge has one of the best Sunday brunches around in beautiful Malibu Canyon off the 101 fwy just past Calabasas. Great food.

The Saddle Peak Lodge is indeed rustic, but don't read "rustic" to mean "unsophisticated." It is a very upscale restaurant -- just one that happens to look like a mountain hunting lodge and have animal heads on the walls.

        1. Not in the valley but Zengo at The Santa Monica Place serves a $35 Bottomless Brunch. Sat & Sun on the Rooftop Terrace 11:30am-3:00pm Includes DJ, not a buffet but AYCE unlimited tasty Asian-Latin small plates (including their duck hash) and free flowing brunch cocktails are included.

Just make sure that you are comfortable with the 2 hours time limit on the Zengo brunch at that price for the unlimited small plates and brunch cocktails.

The duck hash on the menu has been replaced by a new carnitas hash that I have yet to try.

          2. If you don't mind driving over the hill to Sunset Strip, RivaBella is having their last Summer Sunday Brunch this Sunday, and they've pricing it 50% off the regular price of $44...
